Stacking the Shelves – May

Stacking The Shelves is hosted at Tynga’s Reviews & Reading Reality. It’s all about sharing the books you are adding to your shelves, may it be physical or virtual. This means you can include books you buy in physical store or online, books you borrow from friends or the library, review books, gifts and of course ebooks!

As per usual I have gone way over budget this month but I did win an Amazon gift card and I got 2 great books on Kindle Firsts (thank you Prime!)

Here are the books I’ve added to my never ending TBR!

King of Scars by Leigh Bardugo – I won an Amazon gift card and I went and straight away bought this baby!

One Word Kill by Mark Lawrence (Kindle First read)

Before the Broken Star by Emily R King (Kindle First read)

The Rebel of Raleigh High by Callie Hart – couldn’t resist this cover!

Eli’sTriumph by Joanna Wylde – love a Reapers MC read!

Finale by Stephanie Garber – from the Fairyloot Special box (look out for my unboxing soon!)

Romanov by Nadine Brandes – couldn’t resist an Anastasia retelling!

Aurora Rising by Jay Kristoff – I haven’t read this author before so decided now was time!

I’m a girl on a (reading) mission….hopefully!

Welcome to The Weekly Epilogue!

Hope you all had a good week?

I’ve had a week filled with doctor appointments for me and my son! He is being tested for celiac disease (that I’ve probably passed on!) and I’ve now been diagnosed with vertigo. Vertigo, where the heck did that come from?!

Anyhoo, my book-wise week has been great. If I’m honest I’ve been in a slump since the beginning of the year but I’ve had a word with myself and I’m now a girl on a (reading) mission!

Malum part 2 by Amo Jones (beta read)

Trouble at Brayshaw by Meghan Brandy (arc read)

Deadline to Damnation by Anne Malcom (beta read)

Finale by Stephanie Garber

The Foxhole Court by Nora Sakavic

Are you joining in?

What are you drinking Wednesday?

It’s the middle of the working week so I thought it would be nice to have a night to kick back with a beverage and talk all things books!

This week…..PR companies…do you sign up?

When I started out blogging there were so many PR companies and I wanted to make an impression, so I signed up with loads of them for everything!

I posted the html content they sent….but that got old, quickly!

So…….

I stopped posting tour material on my website as I wanted that to be my own voice so just posted to my blog Facebook page….and here we are today……but I might as well be talking to myself on there!

I’m wondering whether to sign up at all now for tours, cover reveals etc so I want to know what you all do….

Do you participate in reveals, tours etc?

How many in a month?

Do you think Facebook is a lost cause for blogs?

What have been your unputdownable reads lately?

Mini Review: Eli’s Triumph by Joanna Wylde

I do love a Reapers MC read!  Ruger stole my heart when I read his part of the series many years ago and I’ve followed this series since…..

Peaches Taylor spent the last seven years slinging drinks and dodging drunks at the Starkwood Saloon. Some might call it a dead end job, but to her it was an investment—another six months, and she’d have enough money to buy the place.

Life would’ve been perfect if Eli hadn’t come home.

Eli King is ready to settle down. He stood by his brothers when they needed him, paying the price for their freedom with his own. Now it’s time to claim his reward—the Starkwood Saloon. He’s got the cash to buy the bar, the skills to run it, and just one person standing between him and his dream: Peaches Taylor.

She’s been driving him crazy since they were kids, and not in the good way. When she was six, she shoved a spider down his pants. When he was ten, he locked her in a closet overnight. Then she hot-wired his car at seventeen, and things got ugly…

They’re adults now, and the Starkwood isn’t a toy to fight over—it’s the hill they’ll die on. No prisoners. No compromises. No mercy.

Peaches Taylor and Eli King are going to war.

Back in the Reapers world (a place I love!) and up to the bat is Peaches and Eli….

Omg I loved this story! Peaches is one angry woman! I loved her!

The pranks, the revenge, the games….superb!

‘Time seemed to freeze in that instant, marking the spot where my life transitioned from before to after.’

Enemies to lovers at its best!

My week….glorious weather, reading and GoT!

Welcome to The Weekly Epilogue!

Hope you all had a good week?

The weather has been glorious here this week and I’ve gone out and soaked up some vitamin D!

I’m still in a Game of Thrones stupor after what happened this week but managed to get some reads in!

Legend by Marie Lu – I really did not get on with this….and it made me sad!

Romanov by Nadine Brandes – so, so good!  Look out for my review!

Deadline to Damnation by Anne Malcom (beta read) – no cover yet!

My Spring reading list hasnt gone that well so far in May…..but I still have time!

These are the ones I still haven’t read……

  • Siege and Storm by Leigh Bardugo
  • Archenemies by Marissa Meyer
  • The Storm Crow by Kalyn Josephson
  • Ruin and Rising by Leigh Bardugo
