I saw this on Bookworm Blogger in January and wanted to have a go…..so I did!
You have 20,000 books on your TBR. How in the world do you decide what to read next?
20k?! Omg I’d have a panic attack!!!!
Sometimes I have a reading list and sometimes I don’t.
If I do want a reading list for that month, I choose 10/15 books and I pick what to read when from that list.
I’m a bit of a mood reader now so sometimes a reading list doesn’t work for me. I have all my unread books written down so I look at that and normally a title jumps out at me and I remember the blurb.
You’re halfway through a book and you’re just not loving it. Do you quit or are you committed?
I used to persevere and carry on but I find if I’m not loving a book it makes me not want to pick it up and I go days without reading so now I DNF!
The end of the year is coming and you’re so close, but so far away on your Goodreads reading challenge. Do you try to catch up and how?
I would probably try and read a few shorter books to see if I could close the gap but if I couldn’t catch up then I wouldn’t worry!
The covers of a series you love do not match. How do you cope?
I’d like to think I wouldn’t worry but when I actually thought about this, I remembered that I had to buy the new cover of Daughter of Smoke and Bone as it didn’t match my others!!!
Every one and their mother loves a book you really don’t like. Who do you bond with over shared feelings?
I don’t think I do. If I like or love a book, I’ll crow with people about it but if I don’t like a book I don’t really talk about it unless someone asks me!
You’re reading a book and you are about to start crying in public. How do you deal?
This would not happen with me as I don’t really cry over books!
A sequel of a book you loved just came out, but you’ve forgotten a lot from the prior novel. Will you re-read the book? Skip the sequel? Try to find a synopsis on Goodreads? Cry in frustration?
If I have forgotten a lot then I’d re-read!
You do not want anyone. ANYONE. borrowing your books. How do you politely tell people nope when they ask?
AgaIin this isn’t a problem for me as none of my friends or family read so they are all MIIIIIIIINE 😂
You’ve picked up and put down 5 books in the last month. How do you get over your reading slump?
A few things seem to work for me:
- Take a break from reading
- Binge watch a TV series
- Re-read a loved book
There are so many new books coming out that you’re dying to read! How many do you actually buy?
All of them!!!! Well maybe buy some and put some on my wishlist!
After you’ve bought the new books you can’t wait to get to, how long do they sit on your shelf before you get to them?
Well. This is the question isn’t it!!!! Some will get read straight away and some may sit there for ages! There is no measure of time!
Really liked doing this! Feel free to do this if you want to!
