Me again with my March theme, a book and a candle!

Book merch is something I love. In fact I wish I was richer and then my house would be full of it!!!

Warcross was one of the best reads ever. It took me by surprise as I didn’t think I was going to enjoy it……so of course I had to rush out and buy a candle to match!!!

The candle is called Warcross and is by Book Nook.

Its cherry blossom, roses and fantasies flavour!!! Isn’t that just fabulous? This smells so delish. I’ve thought about burning it a few times but I just cant bring myself to do it!!! Maybe I need to start buying 2 candles!!!

I decided to change things up a bit! (I know, the excitement!!)

I keep making a monthly tbr and then I fail miserably at it as either I’ve signed up for too many arcs or I don’t just feel in the mood for what I’ve got on my list.

So welcome to my Spring Reading List!

I’m going to not split hairs and just count Spring as April, May and June. I (am hoping!) I’ve chosen a good split of books that will keep me interested!

Part of me thinks I’m crazy for doing this as it doesn’t take into account any arcs I will sign up for or new releases…but I think I’ve left myself a little wiggle room…..let’s see how it goes!

Welcome to The Weekly Epilogue!

Hope you all had a good week?

Well I was glutened….and for a celiac that is bad news! I ate out and was assured it was celiac friendly. Oh how they lied! The muscle and joint aches were just unreal!

In happier news, my son had Egyptian day in school so we had to hurriedly find him something to wear…..Amazon Prime was my friend!

Also happier news, I read a fabulous book this week, like utterly beautiful, blow your mind fabulous!

Omg this book.

I haven’t fallen so hard for a book in a long time.

I got my copy from Fairyloot, it’s an exclusive edition with a silky ribbon bookmark and has a rose shaped signed bookplate!

I’m sure you’ve all seen the blurb but just in case!

No matter what I say I don’t think I will be able to do this book the justice that it deserves!

It was beautiful,

It was poetic,

I want to wail at the utter beauty of this book!

Harper was oh so strong. I loved her strength, tenacity and also her love for everything. She was curious, empowering and I want to be her when I grow up (and live in a castle, no pony though!)

Rhen and Grey. Omg. Just omg. I can’t decide which one I love more. Don’t make me choose, I wont do it!

But I know January 2020 can’t come soon enough!

I couldn’t have a theme month without including this series! I mean, come on, its LIFE!

A Court of Mist and Fury is my favourite of the series, well, because Rhysand so it was fitting that I bought a Night Court candle (even though I did the test and apparently I’m Winter Court!)

The Night Court candle is made by Book and Nook and packaging says it smells of  jasmine, citrus, sea breeze and stars. Just how I imagine Rhys to smell!  I would never ever think of burning this…..but I really need to get a grip and actually light my candles!!!

I have had the paperback of this for quite a while now and I’m not really sure why I haven’t read yet. I’ve read The Young Elites and the Warcross series, just not this one……

I was really looking forward to this. I saw people said it reminded them of the Grishaverse….but I haven’t read those (but are up next!) so I went in with no expectations..not that you should judge a book on another authors series but just to explain where I was!!!

List format works for me here!

• I defo swooned for Malachiasz!

• Nadya and Malachiasz were fab to read together,

• Serefin was also very delish (to me!),

• Nadya annoyed me at times,

• The world building and the magic system was totally amazing,

• Loved that the Gods had actual personalities,

• It was on the darker side which I loved,

• The beginning had me sucked in,

• The ending was so action packed that I was on the edge of my seat,

• But the middle, it sort of sagged for me,

• The epilogue was defo oh yes.

Probably not for the first time ever, I am left feeling conflicted over a book and a rating. I’m going for 4 because I defo loved this more than I never …..

I thought this was going to be a breeze. But it was really hard!

Manon and Aelin (Throne of Glass series by Sarah J Maas)

I mean come on. Two fabulous, lethal birds come together basically to rid the world of evil. Oh yes! The fact that Manon was so bad makes it 100% better in my book. I love her!

Tod and the Rock Chicks (Rock Chick series by Kristen Ashley)

There is nothing that Tod wouldn’t do for his rock chicks from dress lending, shoe pinching, wedding planning, wine nights and shoulders to cry on. I need a Tod in my life!

Cinder and Iko (Cinder series by Marissa Meyer)

I just loved reading about them together. They knew hardship so looked out for each other. The way Cinder carried around Iko’s chip all that time made me tear up!

Biker Bitches (Jamie Begley)

Tight knit, in your face, are a total scream and there is absolutely nothing they wouldn’t do for each other. And if you have read the series you know there isn’t much they havent done!

Harry Potter and Ron Wesley (Harry Potter series by JK Rowling)

This list wouldn’t be complete without a Harry Potter reference. Although it had it’s bumps, their friendship, along with Hermione, is the backbone of the series. Fills my heart with glee!
