The Sunday Post – 22nd May 2022
The Sunday Post is a blog news meme hosted by Caffeinated Reviewer It’s a chance to share news, a post to recap the past week on your blog and showcase books and things we have received.
Hi everyone, hope you’ve had a good week?
It was a fairly normal week for us but my room is finally finished! New floorboards, ceiling plastered, walls painted, the carpet is down and my new book shelves are up!
I spent a rather large amount of time arranging my books on them, I was really excited!!!! This is probably why I’ve only read 2 books this week (or maybe I’m going back to a normal amount of reading? Who knows!)
I’m also behind on looking at your lovely posts – will try and catch up today! Time! I need more!

Review: Gossamer in the Darkness by Kristen Ashley
Title: Gossamer in the Darkness
Series: Fantasyland #5.5
Author: Kristen Ashley
Their engagement was set when they were children. Loren Copeland, the rich and handsome Marquess of Remington, would marry Maxine Dawes, the stunning daughter of the Count of Derryman. It’s a power match. The perfect alliance for each house.
However, the Count has been keeping secret a childhood injury that means Maxine can never marry. He’s done this as he searches for a miracle so this marriage can take place. He needs the influence such an alliance would give him, and he’ll stop at nothing to have it.
The time has come. There could be no more excuses. No more delays. The marriage has to happen, or the contract will be broken.
When all seems lost, the Count finds his miracle: There’s a parallel universe where his daughter has a twin. He must find her, bring her to his world and force her to make the Marquess fall in love with her.
And this, he does.
Back in my fave world ever!!!!!!
Maxine and her Mum are spirited to a parallel universe nefariously and have parts to play. She needs to marry Loren as her Dad-not-Dad has her Mum held captive.
But Maxine is not going to take this lying down (so to speak!) and a plot hatches!
The originals are back too and I could’ve cuddled them! My Circe and Lahn!
My stomach was in a knot reading this book! But it’s the Fantasyland goodness I love!
I never want to leave this world, I want KA to write these forever. And ever. Amen.
‘Don’t let me go.’

Choosing your list of books is half the fun, as is following along with everyone’s progress on this years new #20booksofsummer22 hashtag.
This year I am kicking off on Wednesday 1 June and finishing on Thursday 1 September.
If you want to join in, just take the Books of Summer image, pick your own 10, 15 or 20 books you would like to read. Post the link to your choices in the comments below so I know that you are taking part. (on Cathy’s post, not mine!!)
I am not going to pile on the pressure this year so I’m going for 20….but…..I’ve picked 10 and then I’ll mood read the last 10.

The Sunday Post is a blog news meme hosted by Caffeinated Reviewer It’s a chance to share news, a post to recap the past week on your blog and showcase books and things we have received.
Hi everyone, hope you’ve had a good week?
Not much to report personally! Just a normal, run of the mill week with work for me and school for my son. Last night we stayed up late to watch Eurovision and were gobsmacked we came second! Normally the UK is nil point!!!!
Again I have inhaled books! A readalong, a buddy read and a new-ish release!
I now have a new obsession! All For The Game Trilogy (The Foxhole Court!) It really took me by surprise how much I loved it!
