TTT – Petty Reasons You’ve DNF’d a Book

Top Ten Tuesday is featured by That Artsy Reader Girl. It was born of a love of lists, a love of books, and a desire to bring bookish friends together.

Topic: Petty Reasons You’ve DNF’d a Book

A few years ago I would’ve said I wouldnt have had many but the below reasons spilled out pretty quick!!!! Must be my age!!!!

~ Love triangles (cannot stand them!)
~ My mood
~ Repeating words constantly (I can’t unsee it!)
~ Third act drama that is too drawn out (no thanks!)
~ Flowery writing
~ An annoying character (just ugh)
~ Closed door segsual scenes (I’m flabbergasted!)
~ My fave character dies (hard pass thanks!)

What are yours?

  1. Yes to so many of these! I can do without any further love triangles, thank you very much, and flowery writing is super annoying. As for those seggsual scenes… for me, closed door is much preferred, so too much up close and personal will drive me to DNF. 🙂
