Back to school for my son this week and I had an eye test and I also had 7 inches of hair cut off!
My eye test wasn’t the best because I was told I’ve got something that means my retina could detach easily. I was so grossed out and thinking about it that I forgot to ask for more details!

Seven inches – wow! I work in an ophthalmology office, and you should definitely get more information about a detached retina.

Oh no, sorry about your eyes! But bravo for being bold and making a big hair change! I hope you’re enjoying it. Sounds like you need a return visit to the eye doctor for more info — it can be really hard to absorb details when you get news you weren’t expecting. Hope your week goes well!

I’ve googled and couldn’t see any prevention. My work colleague has recently had an operation for a detached retina so I’ve peppered him with questions too!
