I couldn’t let this moment pass without posting something. It is an incredibly sad time, an end of an era.
I’m not what you would call a royalist I don’t think but The Royal Family are part of my country, the figurehead, and I’ve been bought up watching them so they are part of me.

Same here in the sense that I’m not a big Royal Family fan. But we can all appreciate how massive an impact she’s had on the UK, the Commonwealth and around the world. She was also still a person; a mother, grandmother, great grandmother, friend. The loss will be felt by so many. I also think we may be saddened by our own losses, or the fear for those we still hold dear because one day they too will be gone. So this mourning period is very emotional and tied up in so much national and personal history.
