Title: A Court of Silver Flames
Series: A Court of Thorns and Roses #4
Author: Sarah J Maas
Nesta Archeron has always been prickly-proud, swift to anger, and slow to forgive. And ever since being forced into the Cauldron and becoming High Fae against her will, she’s struggled to find a place for herself within the strange, deadly world she inhabits. Worse, she can’t seem to move past the horrors of the war with Hybern and all she lost in it.
The one person who ignites her temper more than any other is Cassian, the battle-scarred warrior whose position in Rhysand and Feyre’s Night Court keeps him constantly in Nesta’s orbit. But her temper isn’t the only thing Cassian ignites. The fire between them is undeniable, and only burns hotter as they are forced into close quarters with each other.
Meanwhile, the treacherous human queens who returned to the Continent during the last war have forged a dangerous new alliance, threatening the fragile peace that has settled over the realms. And the key to halting them might very well rely on Cassian and Nesta facing their haunting pasts.
Against the sweeping backdrop of a world seared by war and plagued with uncertainty, Nesta and Cassian battle monsters from within and without as they search for acceptance-and healing-in each other’s arms.
Firstly I went in thinking that it’s hard enough writing a sequel for a great book but this author has pressure with a capital P after the whole ACOTAR series because each book was phenomenal. So where would this land in the scheme of things?
‘I have no regrets in my life, but this. That we did not have time. That I did not have time with you, Nesta. I will find you again in the next world—the next life. And we will have that time. I promise.’
Remember that? Well this book is that and more. So much more!
Before we get into it, let me just say that this is 100% defo not a YA read! Ermahgawd it made me hot under the collar!!! Nesta is a goer!!!!!
I’m really not going to say anything about the plot in fear of spoilers but…..
I am a Nesta lover. She reminds me of a cat. She’s grumpy, doesn’t put up with anything and does what she wants. But I must admit I went from loving her to hating her, that barbed tongue of hers! I mean her attitude, no matter where it was born from, is just poor!
I mainly had one wish in this book and my prayers were answered. Cassian with no top on. Life.Made. If only I had a visual!!!
This book had the same humour as the ACOTAR books, I mean remember the sauna scene when Rhys gets chucked out? That made me chuckle and now we have ‘The feared general, felled by seasonal allergies.’ Hahahaaa love it!
So in summary….
• Loved the new characters, Gwyn and Emerie.
• Full of action and sexy times
• Loved Nestas journey of healing
• And the last 20% had me sitting on the edge of my seat and found me falling more and more in love with Nessian!
• You must read this!
I am halfway through the audiobook Caro!

I read it from the moment it was delivered on release day and hardly put it down. It took me 2 days to get through and I wish I could forget that I read it and then read it for the first time again. It was amazing! Everything I hoped it would be! Now we need a book about Az or Amren!

Azriel is the one I’m really looking forward to! Who do you think his love interest will be? I was totally Elain until this book and now I hope it’s Gwyn!!!
