Top 5 Tuesday: Books I Need to Read in 2020

Top 5 Tuesday is brought to you by Shanah at the Bionic Bookworm, see her original post here.

Theme = Top 5 Books I Need to read in 2020

I’m not doing any backlist challenges this year so thought I would pick 5 books from my tbr that I want to read this year. PS picking only 5 was so hard!

The Last Magician by Lisa Maxwell

I have heard so many good things about this book and when I read the blurb, I knew it was for me!

Supernova by Marissa Meyer

I love this series but I didn’t get to read this last installment before the end of last year so it’s on like kong in 2020!

Daisy Jones and the Six by Taylor Jenkins Reid

This book was everywhere last year so who am I not to get it and read the hell out of it?!

First Girl Child by Amy Harmon

The blurb on this book totally pulled me in and, even though my tbr is BIG, this book keeps popping up in the forefront of my mind!

Lifelike by Jay Kristoff

My literary love affair with this author started in 2019 (yes I’m so behind!) and this is the next series I want to start.

How about you? What books do you want to get to in 2020?

  1. I used this week’s topic to look at my TBR pile, too. You’ve got some great books on your list, I hope you enjoy them (when you get around to reading them). 😉

  2. Oh my God, I have so many books lined up on my ‘tbr’ list that it’s hard to choose! Um…
    1. When We Were Vikings by Andrew David McDonald
    2. Come Tumbling Down by Seanan McGuire
    3. Motherless Brooklyn by Jonathan Lethem
    4. Since We Fell by Dennis Lehane
    5. Odd Girl Out by Laura James
I’ve got a bad habit of reading primarily short books (usually 250 pages or less) so I’ve probably missed some great longer ones this year. btw, do you know that the ‘top ten’ rule is just a guideline? You can actually put as many books as you want on your list and have it still count. 🙂
