We don’t celebrate Thanksgiving here in the UK but I just wanted to pass on my wishes for a happy day to all of you that do!
Also hope you have your turkey pants on……
I am always in awe at the pictures of Thanksgiving food that friends share with me and also totally jealous!!!!
What dishes do you make for Thanksgiving, I’d love to give them a try (but I’ll have to substitute any wheat, barley or rye!)
HAPPY THANKSGIVING!!
Turkey, mashed potatoes, stuffing, green beans and biscuits! Then cookies and Apple pie with ice cream for dessert! I will be in a food coma for days after that!🍗😂💖

Our favorite family recipe is a “cranberry salad,” because cranberry sauce is kind of meh. Ingredients include cranberries, whipping cream, marshmallows, bananas, crushed pineapple, and maybe one or two other things I can’t recall right now? It’s somewhere between a side dish and a dessert and is insanely good.
Otherwise our Thanksgiving fare is very standard: turkey, mashed potatoes (topped with paprika), gravy, green beans (with olive oil and topped with a little shredded parmesan), baked sweet potatoes (no fancy casserole or anything), and stuffing. And then homemade pie for dessert–this year we had a pumpkin pie and a cheesecake.

My sister has made a spinach soufflé for a side the past few years. It is my new favorite! This year we also smoked a turkey and made a pecan pie cobbler instead of a typical pecan pie. So much food! Thanks for the well wishes!
