In December 2020 I picked out some books that were my most anticipated reads for 2021 so I thought it would be good to look back and see if I actually got and read them!!!
I’ve done Blogmas for 4 years running now and have absolutely loved doing it (and reading other peoples posts) so decided to do it again!
I’m hoping this will be a fun series of posts on the blog starting on 2nd Decemberand ending on Christmas Eve!
I know that’s more than 12 days………..
I’ve seen most bloggers participate in Blogmas and post on consecutive days but I didn’t want to pressure myself that much over the Christmas lead up so I’ll be posting Blogmas posts every other day.
I’m on the countdown to Christmas now! Look out for my blogmas posts starting tomorrow!
May you never be too grown up to search the skies on Christmas Eve.
‘Mankind is a great, an immense family. This is proved by what we feel in our hearts at Christmas.’ – Pope John XXIII
“Maybe Christmas,” he thought, “doesn’t come from a store. Maybe Christmas… perhaps… means a little bit more.” – How the Grinch Stole Christmas! Dr. Suess
Top Ten Tuesday is featured by That Artsy Reader Girl. It was born of a love of lists, a love of books, and a desire to bring bookish friends together.
Theme – Bookish Memories
It was 2009 when I got back into reading again, although I had read the Harry Potter series and Twilight in between….Hush, Hush by Becca Fitzpatrick and Fallen by Lauren Kate were book series I devoured. I then went on to read This Man and of course, 50 Shades. Then I was off! I devoured all romance books I could get my hands on, indie being my fave as they were more affordable for me on ebook at that time. I used to read around 260 books a year then! Kristen Ashley, Tillie Cole, Anne Malcom, Amo Jones, Cora Reilly and so many more made my lonely evenings so much more bearable along with loads of online book friends I made along the way and we still keep in touch after all these years!
I also started this WordPress blog in 2012 which I still love sharing all my faves on!
Then in 2017 A Court of Thorns and Roses and Throne of Glass happened to me! They bought my love out more for fantasy and then onto YA fantasy and sci-fi, I haven’t stopped reading them since! This genre introduced me to book boxes, to new authors and to Instragram where I’ve met some fab online friends!
I love to mix it up by reading adult romance/pnr, YA fantasy and sci-fi…..a bit of all of it!
Sorry this turned out into a bit of my life history but I wouldn’t change it for the world!
Welcome to Closing the Chapter! I hope you had a great reading month?
We started the month with Firework Night, which was was amazing, a sprained ankle for my son along with a covid jab and then he got covid a week after his jab. Who would bloomin believe it!!!
I really wanted to finish off some series and read some backlist titles to meet a challenge but my mood reader brain had different ideas! But I did find my love of audio again!

An eye for an eye will leave the whole world blind…but sometimes the best revenge is getting even. This theme is about the sweetness of revenge and characters who will get it by blade, or by wit.
