This week my son was off of school for half term but I still had to work (it’s crazy times at the mo coming up to the end of tax year!) and it was Shrove Tuesday aka Pancake Day so we indulged in a couple of pancakes each! Lemon and sugar is the king of toppings!

A lot of devastation happened at the end of Black Sun so I wondered where this book would take us and also the characters in their new directions.

It was really good but the pacing did feel off in some places. I don’t really want to say more about the plot or even the characters because you need to journey with them and experience it!

Xiala is still my fave (totally rooting for Xiala and Serapio!) which brings me to names….I read book 1 but listened to book 2 and realised I had totally been mispronouncing some names wrong, was an eye opener!

Can’t wait for book 3!

I didn’t really read the blurb for this before I started, I love this author and the title called to me! As I started reading I was like what’s going on here?! I’ll say no more!

I was so drawn into this story, it was dark, sapphic and a bit steamy with the story being about rivalry, love and finding yourself.

I did feel like the last part of the story came from nowhere and ended a bit abruptly but I was still enthralled with the rest of it!

This week bought a hospital appointment for my son and work for me! I woke up yesterday in agony, fainted a few times, was sick and had a fever. It was so weird because after a couple of hours, it all completely went! I have no idea what it was!

My son has the week off of school now but unfortunately I still have to work as I couldn’t get the week off!

I finally finished HoFaS and I adored it!
