Cover Love: Restore Me (Shatter Me #4) by Tahereh Mafi (has anyone read this series?)

Firstly, happy Valentines day to you all!

Once in a while I see a cover I fall in love with before I even know what the book is about or even who the author is. This is one of those books!

rm.jpg

I was a bit gutted as this appears to be book 4 in a series (Shatter Me). It comes out on March 6th so I was mentally calculating if I could read the other books in the series by then…..with my arc and tbr pile I have no hope!

I went back to book 1 (Shatter Me) to read the blurb and now I SO WANT TO READ THIS SERIES! Look!

I have a curse
I have a gift

I am a monster
I’m more than human

My touch is lethal
My touch is power

I am their weapon
I will fight back

Juliette hasn’t touched anyone in exactly 264 days.

The last time she did, it was an accident, but The Reestablishment locked her up for murder. No one knows why Juliette’s touch is fatal. As long as she doesn’t hurt anyone else, no one really cares. The world is too busy crumbling to pieces to pay attention to a 17-year-old girl. Diseases are destroying the population, food is hard to find, birds don’t fly anymore, and the clouds are the wrong color.

The Reestablishment said their way was the only way to fix things, so they threw Juliette in a cell. Now so many people are dead that the survivors are whispering war – and The Reestablishment has changed its mind. Maybe Juliette is more than a tortured soul stuffed into a poisonous body. Maybe she’s exactly what they need right now.

Juliette has to make a choice: Be a weapon. Or be a warrior.

Has anyone read this series?

Should I take the plunge and add this to my HUGE tbr pile?

Cover Love: The Language of Thorns by Leigh Bardugo

There are 3 things that really draw me in to buying a book, the first being the author.  If it’s an author I know and love then I am 99% going to one-click.  The 2nd thing is a blurb. I love an enticing, promising blurb!  Then there is the cover……..

Now this book does not have the most exciting of covers.  Its really non-descript. Well in my eyes it is. But that is what drew me to it…..

Title: The Language of Thorns: Midnight Tales and Dangerous Magic

Author: Leigh Bardugo

Release date: 26 September 2017 (pre order available)

Travel to a world of dark bargains struck by moonlight, of haunted towns and hungry woods, of talking beasts and gingerbread golems, where a young mermaid’s voice can summon deadly storms and where a river might do a lovestruck boy’s bidding but only for a terrible price.

Inspired by myth, fairy tale, and folklore, #1 New York Times–bestselling author Leigh Bardugo has crafted a deliciously atmospheric collection of short stories filled with betrayals, revenge, sacrifice, and love.

Perfect for new readers and dedicated fans, these tales will transport you to lands both familiar and strange—to a fully realized world of dangerous magic that millions have visited through the novels of the Grishaverse.

This collection of six stories includes three brand-new tales, all of them lavishly illustrated with art that changes with each turn of the page, culminating in six stunning full-spread illustrations as rich in detail as the stories themselves.

Anyone manage to get an arc? I would love to hear your thoughts.
