Blogmas! Series Finished in 24!

Happy Blogmas!

I think it’s always nice to look back and see that I’ve accomplished something in the year so thought I’d see if I finished any series in 2024!

My provisional goal was to finish 10 – I actually finished 13 (but I did include duologies!)

(Also let’s not talk about how many series that I haven’t finished and also new ones I’ve started this year *incoherent mumbles* )

So here we go……

1) Once Upon a Broken Heart by Stephanie Garber
2) All Souls by Deborah Harkness
3) Crescent City by SJM
4) Green Creek by TJ Klune
5) Twin Crowns by Catherine Doyle/Katherine Webber
6) Zodiac Academy by Caroline Peckham
7) Darkmore Penitentiary by Caroline Peckham
8) Belladonna by Adalyn Grace
9) Throne of Glass (reread)
10) The Sunbearer duology
11) Happyhead duology
12) Stolen Heir duology
13) Letter of Enchantment duology

How many series did you finish this year?

Blogmas! My 2025 Book Plans

I really need this!

For 2025 I’m going to read what I want!

For 2025 I am just going to read what I want.

And that’s it.

~ Mood read the whole year.
~ No lists.
~ No timetables.
~ If I am lucky enough to get an arc I will try my best to read it by release day.
~ I will only request an arc if I really want to read it – no pressure

For most of this year I’ve been pressuring myself to read certain books in a month, and because of that, it puts me off reading anything, and I’m slumping more.

I don’t want to fall out of love with reading, and it’s defo heading that way, so I just think if I don’t do something now, it might push me over the edge!

I also need to stop buying so many books!
I also need to at least try and read some of my tbr!

So that’s it.

What are your reading goals for 2025?

Blogmas! Audiobook Challenge 2024 – a close!

#2024AudiobookChallenge

So here we are, nearly at the end of 2024 and time to evaluate whether I hit my audio goal this year!

At the start of the year I said I wanted to listen to 30 audiobooks (My Precious – I had my earbuds surgically implanted) but then I reached that goal in June and increased to 50 – Marathoner (Look Ma No Hands)!!!

So……did I reach 50?!

I DID! WOOHOO!

Here are some of the books I listened to in the last quarter of 2024:

Did you join in? How did you do?

January releases I’ve got my eye on!

Here’s what’s tantalising me that’s releasing in January (that I may have preordered!!)

I did say I was going to be better about book buying in 2025….but I’m not off to a great start!!!!!

 Onyx Storm by Rebecca Yarros
Carving Shadows into Gold by Brigid Kemmerer
Under Loch and Key by Lana Ferguson
A Sea of Unspoken Things by Adrienne Young

Blogmas! Favourite Christmas Films!

Happy Blogmas!!!!

This isn’t books but something else dear to my heart….Christmas films!!

There is nothing like sitting in the dark just with the glow of tree lights watching a Christmas film!

In my house we tend the watch the same films each year because we love them so much! When my son was younger Muppets Christmas Carol and Polar Express were his faves but now he is getting older his tastes have changed (I however still love Muppets Christmas Carol!!)

We have our list of films which are…….

National Lampoons Christmas Vacation

Home Alone and Home Alone 2

Elf (Saaaaaaanta!!!)

And more recently we have found these:

Christmas Chronicles 1 and 2!

Jingle Jangle

What are some of your favourite Christmas films?
