Meet Your Next Book Boyfriend with GIVEAWAY!

Well here we are with Meet Your Next Book Boyfriend that’s ran by Beware of the Reader and Foxy Blogs.

You can see the tour line up here.

My pick was Wrath from Kingdom of the Wicked.

So basically, when Emilia’s twin, Vittoria, dies she will stop at nothing to find out who killed her and summons a demon. But not just any demon. Wrath. I fell in love with him instantly and let me tell you why (and provide visuals of course!!!)

Species: Demon
Job: Wicked Prince of Hell from the House of Wrath

Visual for eyeballing!

He is dark, broody, dangerous and handsome and doesn’t like wearing a top! (Suits me fine 😂😂)

Let me tell you this author can write a love interest and get your blood boiling (amongst other things!)

Here are some of my favourite quotes!

The romance between Emilia and Wrath was a slow burn, ermahgawd the tension! I really can’t wait for book 2 and more schexy action 😂

Here’s the GIVEAWAY for a $15 Amazon gift card:

Review: The Iron Raven by Julie Kagawa

Title: The Iron Raven

Series: Evenfall #1

Author: Julie Kagawa

You may have heard of me…

Robin Goodfellow. Puck. Prankster, joker, raven, fool… King Oberon’s right-hand jester from A Midsummer Night’s Dream. The legends are many, but the truth will now be known as never before, as Puck finally tells his own story and faces a threat to the lands of Faery and the human world unlike any before.

With the Iron Queen Meghan Chase and her prince consort, Puck’s longtime rival Ash, and allies old and new by his side, Puck begins a fantastical and dangerous adventure not to be missed or forgotten.

We find ourselves back in Puck’s life where he again meets Kierran, The Forgotten King and there is trouble afoot. So of course Puck is right in the middle of all that! And that’s where he also meets Nyx.
Firstly I’ll just say that, as usual, I couldn’t get enough info about Ash and obviously Ash himself!!!
‘That’s what I’m here for, Keirran responded dryly. I snorted. Stop acting like your dad. One broody, sarcastic dark prince is enough.’
But it’s really not, let’s be honest!!!! I need all those dark, broody Prince’s!!!!!!!
I liked this story, seeing their world again and also the characters but I really loved Nyx. There’s something so fragile about her even though she was anything but!
‘She was absolutely beautiful. And I didn’t deserve her. Not for a second.’
And if you want my opinion, he doesn’t! I’m not sure if I am a Puck fan you see. I know he has stuff going on but he was super annoying in places but I did love him and Nyx together, she seems to bring the best out in him.
That ending! When’s the next book?!
‘The onset of evening. The coming of dusk. When everything falls to twilight.’

Mini Review: Wild Wind by Kristen Ashley

Title: Wild Wind

Series: Chaos #6.6

Author: Kristen Ashley

When he was sixteen years old, Jagger Black laid eyes on the girl who was his. At a cemetery. During her mother’s funeral.

For years, their lives cross, they feel the pull of their connection, but then they go their separate ways.

But when Jagger sees that girl chasing someone down the street, he doesn’t think twice before he wades right in. And when he gets a full-on dose of the woman she’s become, he knows he finally has to decide if he’s all in or if it’s time to cut her loose.

She’s ready to be cut loose.

But Jagger is all in.

So Jagger and Archie finally pull their heads out their perverbials and get it on. It’s hot, heavy and intense but of course, troubles afoot. But not the kind of trouble I thought. It was heartbreaking and actually very sweet.

I loved seeing how they got to this point.

The loss,
The advice,
The care,
But then the carelessness,
Not listening to your own advice,
For no gain.

Chapter 6 especially twanged my heartstrings, all of Archie’s wants, so cute (well most of them!)

Joker will always own my heart but Jagger has wormed his way in there a little bit!

The Crown of Gilded Bones by Jennifer L Armentrout

Have I forgotten any??!!

Review: City of Bones by Cassandra Clare

Title: City of Bones

Series: The Mortal Instruments #1

Author: Cassandra Clare

When fifteen-year-old Clary Fray heads out to the Pandemonium Club in New York City, she hardly expects to witness a murder― much less a murder committed by three teenagers covered with strange tattoos and brandishing bizarre weapons. Then the body disappears into thin air. It’s hard to call the police when the murderers are invisible to everyone else and when there is nothing―not even a smear of blood―to show that a boy has died. Or was he a boy?

This is Clary’s first meeting with the Shadowhunters, warriors dedicated to ridding the earth of demons. It’s also her first encounter with Jace, a Shadowhunter who looks a little like an angel and acts a lot like a jerk. Within twenty-four hours Clary is pulled into Jace’s world with a vengeance when her mother disappears and Clary herself is attacked by a demon. But why would demons be interested in ordinary mundanes like Clary and her mother? And how did Clary suddenly get the Sight? The Shadowhunters would like to know…

So here I am embarking on this huge journey. A journey to read this series and all the others, I think a total of 19 books as I type this!!!!

Clary is thrust into a world where she should totally fit in. But sort of doesn’t!
I actually really enjoyed it. I read this book quite fast, I was hooked and wanted to see what happened next!

I loved being in the Shadowhunter world, I loved learning about the world that we are inhabiting in this book and I found myself actually loving all the characters, apart from one which I’ll go onto later! But anyway, and this probably won’t surprise you, but my fave was Jace. Oh Jace……

‘To love is to destroy, and that to be loved is to be the one destroyed’

I’ll make no secret of it. I’m totally here for Jace!!!

Now the character I didn’t gel with was Simon. He got on my nerves. His non-funny, sarky comments, incessant rambles and just him being there got right on my wick!!!!

Anyway, really enjoyed it, action packed, drama filled and twists and secrets aplenty. But then that ‘thing’ at the end. Say it ain’t so. I have to have faith in love!!!

Theme = Spring Cleaning Freebie

I’ve had these books for ages and I haven’t read them so thought I would treat this post as one of those keep or chuck posts as I’ve never done one of those before!

I must say it’s hard to choose, its like trying to choose your favourite child! And really I’m still undecided about some of them 😂
These are the ones I’ve decided to 100% keep:

Savage Beauty by Casey L Bond
Crown Of Coral and Pearl by Mara Rutherford
Children of Blood and Bone by Tomi Adeyemi
Heart of the Fae by Emma Hamm
Atlas Fallen by Jessica Pierce
Descendant of the Crane by Joan He

These are the ones I think I’ll chuck. Probably. But I can’t make any firm promises 😕

Trickery by Jaymin Eve
Prisoner by Annika Martin
Soul of a Woman by Jamie Begley
Dishonored by Bethany Chris

Have I made a mistake on any of these? Let me know in comments!
