Review: The Wrong/Right Man by Aurora Rose Reynolds

Title: The Wrong/Right Man

Author: Aurora Rose Reynolds

Waking up to a text asking why you stood up your blind date is not the best way to start the day especially when the man in question is lying in bed next to you.

Maybe Dakota Newton shouldn’t have assumed that the gorgeous man with a devastating smile, standing out side of the coffee shop was her date.

She probably… Okay, she definitely shouldn’t have slept with him, regardless of how hot the chemistry between them was. But, how could she know that Mr. Right was actually Mr. Wrong.

Brax Adam’s has been called a few things in his life, but a liar was never one of them. That all changes when he’s standing outside a coffee shop and approached by a beautiful woman who thinks he’s there to meet her for a blind date.

As a businessman, Brax knows to trust his gut and never let an opportunity pass him by so he pretends to be someone he’s not.
Maybe he shouldn’t have lied, maybe he should have come clean, but in the end it doesn’t matter because now he has to prove that he’s not the wrong man but the right one.

So what if he’s not the man she’s expecting, she’s the one he’s been waiting for.

Starting over is hard. But you know what they say, a change is as good as the rest!

Dakota finds herself in an awkward situation but a situation that benefits her greatly….from all angles!

This is a sweet, drama filled story with sizzling hot chemistry…..and that Labyrinth reference made my day!

Theme = Authors from A to Z

This week = A to E

There are many authors that are well loved by me but I did find this on the hard side. I think it’s due to the fact that I remember book titles not author names!!!

Anyway, these are my well loved authors, A to E:

A = Kristen Ashley

Now where do I start with this lovely lady? Her most favourite series of mine are the Fantasyland series and also Chaos (I couldn’t just pick one!!!)

B = Holly Black

I was going to pick Leigh Bardugo but then I remembered how upset she made me with Mathias and I couldn’t relive the pain again so here we have Holly Black!

I loved the Modern Tale of Faerie series and then came The Folk of the Air series which I was obsessed with!

C = Tillie Cole

From the Hangmen series to the Sweet Home series to Scarred Souls to A Thousand Boy Kisses that made me blub like a baby…..gawd I love her writing!

D = Penelope Douglas

Oh Damon you are just delish! If you haven’t checked out the Devil’s Night series and you like your romance dark, you need this in your life!

E = Shea Ernshaw

The Wicked Deep was a fab read and I have Winterwood in my tbr….I’ll get to it soon!!!

That’s my A to E of well loved authors, what’s yours?

🎧 Review: Lifel1k3 by Jay Kristoff

Title: Lifel1k3

Series: Lifelike #1

Author: Jay Kristoff

On a floating junkyard beneath a radiation sky, a deadly secret lies buried in the scrap.

Eve isn’t looking for secrets—she’s too busy looking over her shoulder. The robot gladiator she’s just spent six months building has been reduced to a smoking wreck, and the only thing keeping her Grandpa from the grave was the fistful of credits she just lost to the bookies. To top it off, she’s discovered she can destroy electronics with the power of her mind, and the puritanical Brotherhood are building a coffin her size. If she’s ever had a worse day, Eve can’t remember it.

But when Eve discovers the ruins of an android boy named Ezekiel in the scrap pile she calls home, her entire world comes crashing down. With her best friend Lemon Fresh and her robotic conscience, Cricket, in tow, she and Ezekiel will trek across deserts of irradiated glass, infiltrate towering megacities and scour the graveyard of humanity’s greatest folly to save the ones Eve loves, and learn the dark secrets of her past.

Even if those secrets were better off staying buried.

Prepare yourselves for a ramble of delight. I’m not even sure I can call this a review! I am absolutely giddy!

This is the book to get me out of my near 3 month slump. Yes, 3 long months.

I could actually squeal in delight (yes like a piggy!)

I was hooked.

I was excited

I had the feels, all the feels.

I wanted more and more.

I was in book heaven.

The flashbacks made my life. I couldn’t get enough.

Eva and Ezekiel, oh my heart. MY HEART!

Lemon Fresh (what a name!) – she is my utter fave!

I flew through it, the story, the world, the characters, just everything grabbed me.

So in short, I loved it. Now cue the moment that made me go all squidgy inside…

‘I used to wonder sometimes why they made us, if there could ever be a reason for something like me to exist. But now I know.

I was made for you. All I am. All I do, I do for you.’
