Review: Broken Knight by LJ Shen

Wow.

Just wow.

This book was nothing short of amazing.

If you like LJ Shen, you will love her by the end of this read….and maybe hate her a bit too!

Title: Broken Knight

Author: LJ Shen

Not all love stories are written the same way. Ours had torn chapters, missing paragraphs, and a bittersweet ending.

Luna Rexroth is everyone’s favorite wallflower.

Sweet.
Caring.
Charitable.
Quiet.
Fake.
Underneath the meek, tomboy exterior everyone loves (yet pities) is a girl who knows exactly what, and who, she wants—namely, the boy from the treehouse who taught her how to curse in sign language.
Who taught her how to laugh.
To live.
To love.

Knight Cole is everyone’s favorite football hero.
Gorgeous.
Athletic.
Rugged.
Popular.
Liar.

This daredevil hell-raiser could knock you up with his gaze alone, but he only has eyes for the girl across the street: Luna.

But Luna is not who she used to be. She doesn’t need his protection anymore.
When life throws a curveball at All Saints’ golden boy, he’s forced to realize not all knights are heroes.

Sometimes, the greatest love stories flourish in tragedy.

Oh jeez people. I’m not sure I can ever recover from this! This read nearly killed me…..and I loved every.moment.of.it! A young Luna and Knight. My heart! ‘Always. Whenever. Forever.’

This book took my heart….
It literally ripped it out my body….
And then stomped on it…..
Did an Irish jig on it…..
Then the floss…..
You get the picture.
I don’t think I’ll ever recover from this. This is, without a doubt, the best book this author has ever written and that is saying something as her previous books have been FABULOUS!
My heart is back where it belongs in case you’re wondering. Well sort of. I think. I’m still very emotional!

  1. I love your excitement in the review! I have been seeing books by LJ Shen on blogs lately. I normally don’t pay too much attention because they’re not really the type of book I read. But seeing all the love, I may have to give one a try someday in the future.

  2. Oh dear! On one hand, I am so glad to hear that you loved this. On the other hand, I’m terrified to read it and what it will do to me! I loved the audiobook for Pretty Reckless, and I got this one as well. But I’m scared…LOL!
