CJR The Brit Review: By A Charm and a Curse by Jaime Questell

This book was on my list for the 20 Books of Summer Challenge.  I must admit I was a bit 50/50 whether to read or not….but I am so glad I did!  It was a gem!

Here is my review:

What a unique story! It was fabulous.

Le Grands Carnival Fantastic is in town and Em goes to have some fun as she is new in town.

It’s here her story begins and unfolds….a charm and a curse……and things start to go wrong…..for everyone.

Things I loved:

Em and Bens friendship,

How supportive all the carnies were, a proper family,

How the carnival atmosphere was built,

How utterly heartbreaking it all is.

And lastly, although I’ve said it before, I loved how different this story is.
