CJR The Brit Review: Rome’s Chance by Joanna Wylde

It’s no secret that one of my favorite MC reads ever is the Reapers series by Joanna Wylde.  I think Ruger from Reapers Legacy was my first ever BBF!!!

Safe to say I have followed this series from day one and have not missed a word of it!  So when I saw that she was publishing a novella as part of the 1001 Dark Nights series, I knew I needed it!

Here is a bit about it:

Rome McGuire knew he was in trouble the first time he saw her.

She was sweet and pretty and just about perfect in every way. She was also too young and innocent for the Reapers Motorcycle Club. He did the right thing, and walked away.

The second time, he couldn’t resist tasting her.

Gorgeous and smart, fun and full of wonder, she jumped on his bike and would’ve followed him anywhere. Still, she deserved a shot at happiness somewhere bigger and better than a town like Hallies Falls. Walking away wasn’t so easy that time, but her family needed her and he had a job to do.

When she came around a third time, he’d had enough. Randi Whittaker had been given two chances to escape, and now it was time for Rome to take his.

This time, the only way Randi would be leaving Hallies Falls was on the back of Rome’s bike.

CJR THE BRIT REVIEW

Absence makes the heart grow fonder….and it certainly did for Rome.

We met Rome and Randi briefly in Reapers Fire and we know that Randi moved away after the terrible fires. But she’s back and who should she bump into? Rome!

I wasn’t that sure about Randi, yes she defo had a hard life but sometimes she irked me. I did warm to her more when she compared Rome to a chip!!!!! That’s something I would do! ‘It was everything that was bad for my heart. Just like Rome McGuire.’ I did feel bad as I really expected to like her.

What I didn’t expect was to absolutely fall 100% in love with Rome from the get go. These Reaper guys are normally all rough around the edges but he was different. Absolutely perfect. He stole my heart!

A great addition to the Reaper series…..and as usual, I want more!!!
