CJR The Brit: Goodreads Challenge 2018

Are you participating in the Goodreads Challenge this year?

What total will you set?

I have done the Goodreads Challenge for about 4 years and thankfully each year I have hit my goal.

In 2017 I knew I was going to be at home for a few weeks as I have 2 prolapsed discs in my neck and was having treatment so I did set my goal a bit higher as I knew I would probably read a book a day.  I wanted to read 135 books in 2017 and I actually reached that in November!  Go me!!!!

For 2018 I am going a bit more on the conservative side.  I want to relish and cherish every word I read so my total for 2018 will be 72 books.

Let me know what you are going for in 2018!

  1. Congrats on reaching that goal! I havenโ€™t set a goal and Iโ€™m not sure if I will. I missed my goal by a lot this year. We moved in June and that really affected my reading for a couple of months. I thought about setting at 1 so I always get the message that Iโ€™ve exceeded it but that seems rather lame. Lol.

  2. Wow, you read a ton last year. Good for you! I set my goal for a minimum of 40 this year. Realistically I know Iโ€™ll probably read more, but I donโ€™t want to stress myself.

  3. I’ve set my goal lower this year. I didn’t make it in 2017. It was set to 100 and I only made it to 71 so I’m setting it to at least 70 this year. We’ll see how it goes! Good luck on yours!

      1. That’s what I thought! Someone asked her if she had typed it wrong and she said no and that she didn’t hardly ever sleep. That’s like nearly 20 books a week! ๐Ÿ˜ฎ
