#CJRreview The Consort (Ascension #3) by KA Linde (YA Fantasy)

In August I saw a post asking if bloggers would like to read a YA fantasy series called Ascension, books 1 and 2 were available then and there.  What’s a YA lover to do?!  Of course I said yes!

Once reading I was kicking myself that I had never read before.  I don’t think I had a rush like that with a book for so long!

You can read my review of The Affiliate here and The Bound here.

On to book 3!

TITLE: The Consort

SERIES: Ascension Book 3

Author: K.A. Linde

Genre: YA Fantasy

After the loss of a friend and false imprisonment in an Eleysian dungeon, Cyrene has no interest in destiny. Her heart was shattered, friends scattered, and her home is nothing but a pretty illusion. Even her magic won’t cooperate.

When all seems lost, she turns to the one person she never thought that she would trust:

Prince Kael.

His darkness mirrors a growing force lurking within her. A struggle she never imagined threatens to consume her. And as friends and foes begin to show their true colors, she starts questioning whether anyone is who they seem.

Even herself.

We left Cyrene in a prison cell in The Bound and here is her next adventure.

Those that have read my reviews of books 1 and 2 know I am firmly #teamedric – but a girl can be wrong! Just know that Cyrene is a lucky girl with all these men lusting after her! Is it luck though?

Like the predecessors, this book grabs you with both hands and you can’t stop reading as you HAVE to know what happens.

The mystery. The connections. Shocks. Twists. Answers. Questions……..

……to be answered!

Yes, there will be another book (I didn’t expect that, I’m not sure why!)
