Cover Love: Dark Swan by Gena Showalter

Now I love a cover, something that stands out, something that’s different and, of course, I can appreciate the half naked man!!!

It’s not often a cover comes out and I am saying to myself ‘Ooooh that’s creepy’ – now this (I think!) is creepy!

The Alien Huntress series is back with fan favorite AIR agent Dallas Gutierrez from New York Times and USA TODAY bestselling paranormal romance author Gena Showalter, who doesn’t disappoint with this sizzling hot alpha hero.

Lilica Swan isn’t quite human or otherworlder; she is the best—and worst—of both.

But the bond will fade without consummation. Can Dallas resist his insatiable desire for the powerful beauty? Or will she lead to his ultimate downfall?

I haven’t read this series (or anything by this author in fact!) but I am going to add book 1 to my wishlist and check it out.

Has anyone read this author or this series?

Let me know what you think!

  1. I adore her Lords of the Underworld books and she’s such a sweet person in general! I saw this cover a month or so ago and was all over it like you are!

      1. Yeah, quite a few. I read them quickly though, which is good. But I have so many other books to read that I’ve kind of neglected Lords of the Underworld and the Black Dagger Brotherhood for a while.

      2. I stopped after reading book 4, but I have the e-book bundle that is books 5-8, so I’ll probably binge read those soon. My boyfriend said his favorite books of BDB are #4 and #8.

      3. haha, yeah that is absolutely a commitment. I did a reread of Percy Jackson and then the Heroes of Olympus last year and that was a wild and large reread. It was so worth it though. I like rereads because I pick up new bits and pieces each time.

      4. Any time! I don’t care that I’m 29 years old; I will continue to race out and get Rick Riordan’s books the day they are released.

      5. There’s no shame in my reading choices. 🙂 So long as the story is good I don’t need to fit into the target audience.
